Residential Permits

Building Division office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, open primarily Tuesdays through Fridays, with limited service on Mondays.

Required Items for Submittal

  • Building Permit Application (PDF)
  • Letter of Authorization (if someone other than the owner or contractor is picking up the permit)
  • Document Submittal
  • Plan check fees assessed on all submittals - due at time of submittal, payable to the City of Ceres

  • Calculations, 2 sets, wet signed
  • Drawings (Blueprints): 3 sets
    • Architectural Plans
    • Cover Sheet Information
    • Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Plans
    • Landscape Plan, for single family dwelling
    • Plot Plan
    • Structural Plans, if required
  • Structural Calculations, 2 sets, wet signed
  • Title 24 Energy Calculations, 2 sets
  • Truss Calculations, 2 sets, wet signed
