The City of Ceres has representative vacancies on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), both with the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG).
The BPAC is one of our standing committees, specializing in Bicycle and Pedestrian projects. The BPAC provides recommendations on planning efforts to encourage non-motorized transportation in Stanislaus County. Meetings are held usually on the first Wednesday of every third month at 10 am. The CAC is another standing committee. This committee provides recommendations to the Policy Board on transportation issues in the Stanislaus Region. These issues include major capital projects, our local sales tax measure (Measure L), our transit and rideshare systems, and more. Meetings are held usually on the first Wednesday of every third month at 6pm. These meetings are open to the public and allow for public comment. Meetings are held at the StanCOG Board Room at 1111 I Street, 3rd Floor in Downtown Modesto (refreshments provided).
